My name is Shingie Chisoro, a Senior Researcher at the Centre for Competition, Regulation and Economic Development (CCRED) at the University of Johannesburg. We are conducting research on inclusive and sustainable trade and value chains that promote women’s economic empowerment with a particular focus on vegetables and poultry. As part of the research, we would like to speak to women producers and entrepreneurs in these value chains to understand women’s participation, barriers to entry and growth, competition, and policy efforts. This information will be used to produce a series of academic publications including policy briefs for the benefit of industry stakeholders and improving policy. The interviews are scheduled to take place between 1 July and 15 September 2022 and will take 30-45 minutes.
